Wolverhampton & Black Country: AIM for GOLD Growth & Grant Programme

Over the next year, in response to the pandemic, the AIM for GOLD Growth and Grant programme will support small and medium enterprises with up to £25,000 of capital grants funding.

Businesses based in Wolverhampton or the Black Country are invited to contact Wolverhampton Council to discuss their eligibility for the funding, which is available to businesses working in the manufacturing, creative, digital, environmental technology and business services sectors.

The funding and support programme is designed to help businesses build resilience and capacity, safeguard jobs, and respond to emerging needs within the market. Experienced advisors from Wolverhampton Council’s business team will be on hand to offer support, and help you apply for up to £25,000 of grant funding towards any capital projects with up to 50% contribution rate.

Sandwell: New Additional Restrictions Grants (ARG) Top Up Scheme

The Top-Up ARG is a discretionary scheme to support those businesses affected by the pandemic who are not generally eligible to obtain support from other grant schemes. The funding will be used to make discretionary grants directly to eligible businesses.

In order to be eligible you must be a VAT registered business which has reintroduced staff into the workplace from the furlough scheme in the past 6 months and which still employs them as of 1st October 2021, and you must not have received a previous Local Authority Covid-19 related Business Support Grant.

When considering applications, Sandwell Council will look at the circumstances of the business, the social value the business brings to Sandwell, and the importance of the business to the local economy. Grants of £5,000, £7,500 and £10,000 are available depending on your circumstances.
